WHO IS HIMESH RESHAMMIYA'S WIFE?
Well, Himesh's name is not new to Bollywood fans,
Bollywood Singer HIMESH RESHAMMIYA Surprised fans over the weekend, as he tied the knot on Friday, May 11 in Mumbai in a private ceremony at his residence with Actor SONIA KAPOOR. The wedding was a close-knit affair with just the parents of the couple and Himesh's son from his first marriage, Swayam, present on the occasion.
Himesh's wife Sonia is not new to Bollywood fans, she may not be an easy recall,
Sonia Kapoor is a Television actor who has done TV shows like Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai, Jugni Chali Jalandhar, Yes Boss and Remix, kitty party, sati and also was a popular face in the television industry a few years ago. She was also the leading lady of the sitcom, Zaara and was seen in several films including Satta(2003), Fareb)2005) and Officer(2001). She essayed the role of Naina Khanna, Angad's(Iqbal Khan) mother in the musical drama Kaisa Yeh Pyaar Hai. she also played Mandodari in Jai Hanuman. She was also seen in the supernatural series Neeli Aankhein.
Himesh and Sonia reportedly began dating in 2006 and she was a frequent visitor to Himesh's house.
Sharing the news of his wedding, Himesh said,"I am really happy that Sonia and I have started this new journey, she is a lovely girl and I have loved her unconditionally."
Sonia Kapoor was also excited about the new phase of her life as she said,"Himesh is a wonderful human being and my soul mate. He means the World to me and I am very happy to start this beautiful journey with him."
Himesh and Sonia have been together for over ten years now. It was in June 2017 that Himesh got officially divorced from Komal, his first wife of 22 years. In a Statement, Himesh spoke about his former wife and said,"sometimes in life, mutual respect becomes the most important and giving due respect to our Relationships, Komal and I have amicably decided to part ways. There is no problem whatsoever with his decision among us and our family as every member respects it. Yet, Komal is and will always remain a part of our family and I will always be a part of her family."
Also, Komal proved wrongly the rumors Sonia being the reason of the divorce as she said in a statement,"There are `compatibility issues in our marriage but we respect each other immensely. Nobody else should be dragged into this matter and nobody is responsible for this and the reason for our marriage not working is only and the only compatibility. Sonia is not responsible for this at all and our son Swayam and our family loves Sonia just like a family member."
The photos from the wedding were shared by the "Viraaniya" Singer on his Facebook account with the caption,"Togetherness is Bliss!"
