SONAM KAPOOR AND ANAND AHUJA ARE MARRIED NOW: MEET THE NEWLYWEDS

All eyes are on the first big, fat Bollywood wedding of the year- SONAM KAPOOR and ANAND AHUJA'S. 

Their wedding was not less than a festival. From the mehndi to sangeet to the private Anand Karaj wedding ceremony to the starry reception all the functions were the Talk of the Town.

They got married on May, 8th in Mumbai with almost entire Bollywood witnessed it. The wedding season is on in full swing. After Milind Soman and Ankita Kunwar's intimate wedding in Alibaug, get set for Bollywood's big fat wedding i.e. of Sonam Kapoor and beau Anand Ahuja are all set to walk down the aisle in the first week of May and its preparations have surely got us excited about it. The wedding ceremony was in Mumbai on 7th and 8th may. The wedding celebrations were the kick-start with sangeet and mehndi hosted at Luxurious hall inside the BKC Building. Farah Khan Kunder had overseen the dance performances and apart from it, Karan Johar was the star performer of the night. The goom's side of the family came from US, London, and Delhi for attending the wedding functions in Mumbai.

Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja got married as per Sikh Wedding Traditions. The Kapoor Family zeroed in Sunita Kapoor's Sister- Kavita Singh's heritage Bungalow in Bandstand as the venue of the wedding. the bungalow is located next to Shahrukh Khan's Mannat and since she is an art collecter her bungalow is decorated with exquisite art pieces from all around the World including Grand Chandeliers, Buddha and Ganesha Statue.

Anil Kapoor's Mumbai home lit-up like a starry sky during the Wedding night. The Ahuja's Reportedly gave designer Raghavendra Rathore the charge of the Groom's Wardrobe. In addition to this, he also dressed him for the wedding function.

THE PERFORMANCES:-

 Sonam Kapoor's cousin left no stone unturned to give their sister a Bollywood-style Sangeet ceremony. Arjun Kapoor, Shanaya, Anshula, and others prepared to dance to Sonam's hit tracks such as- Abhi to party shuru hui h and songs from her upcoming Veere Di Wedding. 

Jahanvi Kapoor also Performed to a medley of her late mother- Sridevi's popular songs while Ranveer Kapoor who is Sonam's Maternal cousin and Arjun danced to Anil Kapoor's- MY NAME IS LAKHAN. 

Farah Khan was in charge of Choreographing the sangeet. 

GUESTS:-

Actor AMITABH BACHCHAN, AAMIR KHAN, RANI MUKHERJI, RANVEER SINGH and SONAM KAPOOR'S best friends from Bollywood were among the early arrivals for their Veere Di Wedding. 

Actresses KAREENA KAPOOR, SWARA BHASKER, and JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ, dressed in their wedding best, were the first celebs photographed at the Bandra Bungalow belonging to the Bride's aunt where the wedding was held.

Kareena Kapoor, who co-stars with Sonam in next month's release Veere Di Wedding was pictured at the venue with husband Saif Ali Khan, their son Taimur and sister Karisma.
